Creating, Modifying and Deleting DNS Records

Objective: As per the requirement you need to propagate the domain, mail service etc. You need to configure the DNS records.

       Add a DNS records from Plesk panel

  1. Visit the URL http://<your_domain>:8880 or https://<your_domain>:8443 (For SSL) and login.
  2. Click on the DNS Settings under the specific domain which you want to access.

  1. Under DNS tab, click on the Add Record for adding any record for that domain.

  1. Add the records as given below.
  • Select the record type from the drop down which you want to add.
  • Type the respective fields as per your need and click OK button.

  1. A popup will shown to confirm the changes to update the record for the DNS you have made.



   You have been notifying changes were saved successfully.

  

 Managing DNS records from Plesk panel

1. Visit the URL http://<your_domain>:8880 or https://<your_domain>:8443 (For SSL) and login.
2. Click on the DNS Settings under the specific domain which you want to access.

3. Under DNS tab, click on the Host link for managing any existing record for that domain.

4. Now change the values as per your need and click OK button.

5. A popup will shown to confirm the changes to update the record for the DNS you have made.



   You have been notifying changes were saved successfully.


     

Deleting any record from Plesk Panel

1. Visit the URL http://<your_domain>:8880 or https://<your_domain>:8443 (For SSL) and login.
2. Click on the DNS Settings under the specific domain which you want to access.

3. Under DNS tab, mark the selected Host you want to remove from DNS records and click on the Remove button.

4. A popup will open for confirmation to delete the record. Click OK to remove.

5. A popup will shown to confirm the changes to update the record for the DNS you have made.



6. You have been notifying changes were saved successfully.
