How to install or renew Lets Encrypt SSL in Plesk

Objective: Let's Encrypt is a free, automated, and open certificate authority (CA), run for the public's benefit. They give people the digital certificates they need in order to enable HTTPS (SSL/TLS) for websites, for free, in the most user-friendly way we can. Plesk has integrated Lets Encrypt in its panel and allows you to enable this through a simple point and click interface as per the steps below:

   Step 1: Steps to install Let's Encrypt SSL encryption in Plesk panel

1. Visit the URL http://<your_domain>:8880 or https://<your_domain>:8443 (For SSL) and login using your username and password.

2. Go to Website & Domain from top-menu, click on the Lets Encrypt link for the respective domain or subdomain.



3. Enter the email address where the notification for the ssl will be informed. Also select the checkbox if needed for the encryption for each of the subdomains or aliases.



4. After successful installation, a popup will shown as,



5. Visit your domain URL https://<domain_name> and verify the certificate is installed.


   Step 2. Steps to renew the Let's Encrypt SSL encryption

1. Follow the same process as installation, only Renew button will be shown instead of install.
