Make a MySQL database copy in Plesk

   Step 1: Steps to access database using root

1. Visit the URL http://<your_domain>:8880 or https://<your_domain>:8443 (For SSL) and login.

2. Click on Website and Domain then select Database.


 

3. Click on copy link on particular database.


 

4. Select the destination database server as localhost if you want to copy it within same server.
   (Remember to check create a full copy, if want to copy the data from the database as well as the structures also)

   A. You can create a new database.


 

   B. If want to modify to an existing database.


 

5. Also can copy the database to any remote database by selecting others on the dropdown.
   Enter the Hostname or IP address.
   Enter the Username and Password.
   (Remember to check create a full copy, if want to copy the data from the database as well as the structures also)

   A. You can create a new database.


 

   B. If want to modify to an existing database.


 

6. After clicking OK the database copying process will start immediately.


Step 2: You can view the copied database into database section

1. Now you can modify your website's scripts configuration, so they connect to the copied database.
