POP3 Basic Auth Disabled in Microsoft 365

Issue: Problem receiving incoming emails with POP3 Protocol 

Notification from Outlook Support on Deprecation of Basic authentication in Exchange Online for POP, IMAP from October 1 2022: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/deprecation-of-basic-authentication-exchange-online

Solution Permanent Solution can be done by enabling Modern authentication protocol as OAuth 2.0 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/client-developer/legacy-protocols/how-to-authenticate-an-imap-pop-smtp-application-by-using-oauth

Current Solution:

Step 1: 

Check Health Status: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/view-service-health?view=o365-worldwide

Login to Office 365 admin panel & click on Health >> Health Service Tab

It will show Exchange Online POP3 Disabled 

Step 2:

Clicking on "Exchange Online POP3 Disabled" will show the given message

Step3 :

Click on "Help & Support"

Step 4:

Paste the Code " Diag: Enable Basic Auth in EXO " in the search box

Step 5:

Click on "Run Test"

Step 6:

Select "Protocol to Enable" as "POP" & check the acknowledgement & click on "Update Settings"

Step 7:

Once settings are updated , the Basic Authentication will be re-enabled 

Check the incoming mail from the mailbox
