Configure Your Email Account on Android Devices

These article will guide you to configure your emails on android phones. To configure you should have the email address, password and Incoming and outgoing mail server details for your domain.

Step 1: Open the email application.

Tap to open the email application where you want to configure the email address.

Step 2: Add email account

Tap on the Add email account option to add the email address.

Step 3: Enter email address

Enter the email address against which you want to set the account also enter the password in the respective field.

From here you can chose for the protocol such as IMAP and POP3, we recommend IMAP protocol while configuring the email addresses in phones.

Selecting IMAP or POP3 protocol, once selected click on Sign in

Step 4: Configuring the mail account.

Enter the email address, User Name, and password in the respective field as shown below, enter the respective details in the given below fields as shown and click on Done once the the required details are entered correctly.

Incoming mail server : Here we need to enter the mail server details as given below:

Server: mail.domain.com
Port: 143
Security type: None

With SSL Enabled: (Hostname should be configured with a SSL certificate)
Server: mail.domain.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL

Outgoing mail server: Here you need to enter the outgoing mail server details as given below:

Server: mail.domain.com
Port: 25
Security type: None

With SSL Enabled: (Hostname should be configured with a SSL certificate)
Server: mail.domain.com
Port: 465  or  587
Security type: SSL

To change the email security type click on ">" to select specific option as shown.

Your email address has been configured successfully you will now be able to access your mails from your mobile.
