How to install Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate on a Website in Solid CP

SSL certificate can be installed on Window 2016 and Window 2012 servers. It will not work with Window 2008 OS. Following are the steps to install the  SSL on Solidcp.

Important Notes: Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate is available with SolidCP 1.4.3 version and above versions only.

Sign In to Control panel.

  1. Provide the user name.
  2. Provide the password.
  3. Click on Login to continue.

  1. Under Customer Accordions click on All Customers, you will be redirected to Customer User Accounts.

  1. Under Customer User Accounts click on user under USER NAME for which you want to add SSL certificate.

  1. Under Hosting Spaces select the option Web & Applications.
  2. Click on Web Sites.

  1. You will be redirected to Web sites Panels.
  2. Click on the domain name for which you want to add SSL certificate.

  1. Web Sites Properties will appear.
  2. Click on SSL tab.

  1.  Under SSL certificate you will having two type of SSL certificate.

         a. Install (free) Lets Encrypt Certificate.

         b. Install normal Certificate.

  Note :  If you already have the SSL click on Upload Certificate, otherwise please proceed to generate the CSR with clicking on Generate CSR.

  1. Fill in the form on the next window and click Generate CSR.

         a. Select Certificate Type:  -- choose the domain from the drop-down menu to which you wish to install the SSL.

        b. Bit Length: -- the certificate length, you can leave it at the default 2048bit.

        c. Organisation: -- your company name.

        d. Organisation unit: -- your company department.

        e. Country: -- choose your country from the drop-down menu.

       f. State/Province: -- type in the state/province which you wish to show on the SSL.

       g. City/Locality:  -- the city where you reside.

  1. A CSR for your Website was generated successfully message will appear. Copy the text and paste it to a CA to request the certificate.

  1. Paste your certificate from your CA into to the text area.

  1. Click on "Install certificate" button, your SSL certificate will be Installed.
