POP and IMAP email account configuration for Outlook 2013

From the File menu choose the option Info then Account Settings again Account settings to reach to the account settings.

• Click on New to create a new account.

• Now choose the option Manual setup or additional server types and click on Next.

• Choose the option POP or IMAP then click on Next.

For POP account.

• Now fill up the required information like on User information please put your name and your email address.
• And on the Server Information choose the option POP3 to configure POP3 email account.
• Incoming and outgoing mail server will be mail.yourdomainname.
• On Logon information please put your full email address as user name.
• Then put the password for the mail id on the password field.
• put a check mark on Remember Password to remember the password also choose the option New Outlook Data File to create a new data file. Then click on More Settings.

• On the Outgoing Server tab check the option My outgoing server (SMTP) require authentication and also choose the option Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

• On the Advance tab Incoming server (POP3) port number will be 110 and Outgoing server SMTP port number will be 25 and the option Use the following type of encrypted connection will be None.

• You can also use SMTP secure port number 587 as a Outgoing server (SMTP) port and then you are required to choose the option TLS for Use the following type of encrypted connection option then click on Ok.

For IMAP email account.

• Now fill up the required information like on User information please put your name and your email address.
• And on the Server Information choose the option IMAP to configure IMAP email account.
• Incoming and outgoing mail server will be mail.yourdomainname.
• On Logon information please put your full email address as user name.
• Then put the password for the mail id on the password field.
• put a check mark on Remember Password to remember the password. Then click on More Settings.

• On the Outgoing Server tab check the option My outgoing server (SMTP) require authentication and also choose the option Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

• On the Advance tab Incoming server (POP3) port number will be 143 and Outgoing server SMTP port number will be 25 and the option Use the following type of encrypted connection will be None then click on OK.

• Finally click on the option Next then Finish to complete the settings.

• Now your email account is ready to use on outlook 2013.
